Questions & Answers
How do I normally approach a new project?
First, I always like to properly understand what I’m dealing with. Why does this project needs to be done? What are the expected benefits from it? What resources do we count on? These are just some questions I normally pose myself. After this, I will gather all the relevant data and information regarding the necessary procedure. I will then review, understand and organize the data to ensure replicability. Lastly, after doing the needed work, I will translate the results into easy-to-digest conclusions.
What are my main principles?
I value simplicity, practicity and excellence above anything else. I want to get the job done, within the required time-space, whilst ensuring that every part involved gets the expected result. I always try to deliver the best possible outcome any activity assigned to me can have.
What is my current technical skillset?
I have vast experience with MS Excel, from data manipulation, advanced formulas and formatting, to Pivot Tables and transformation techniques. I also have ease with VBA programming. In addition, I have great experience using SQL Server, for databases management, Power BI and Tableau for dashboards creation and data modelling, and recently, I have expanded my skillset to Python, with numerous libraries that include Pandas, Polars, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, XGBoost and many others.
How do I cope with tight deadlines and high pressure?
I live for a challenge. I strongly believe that happiness is in those experiences that challenge us the most and make us feel we are giving the absolute 100% of ourselves. Deadlines are not anything frightening for me. As for pressure, I want to be part of something big, and with that, comes great responsibility. To me, pressure is not anything new, in fact, I expect it.
